What is Linoleum flooring?
Linoleum flooring is made and manufactured by oxidizing linseed oil which creates and forms a thick mixture called linoleum cement. This mixture is cooled off and then mixed with pine resin and wood flour to form large sheets. This makes linoleum flooring, among the advantages it is an environmentally friendly choice.

Hardwood
Hardwood flooring is made up from 3 different layers of wood. The bottom layer is a ply wood, the middle layer is a softwood and the top is a solid wood. Hardwood flooring can be finished in either brush, lacquer and oil or handscraped resulting in a very different styles and textures, finish and look to every single hardwood style floor available. Hardwood floors range from 20mm to 13mm in thickness and are available generally in 2 strip, 3 strip, 5 strip or a single planks. Hardwood flooring has a 3mm wear layer and on some floors it can sometimes be possible to sand and revarnish hardwood floors once.

Solid wooden flooring is generally made up of 1 single piece of wood. Solid woods range form 26mm to 15mm thickness. Solid wood floors generally are fitted as single planks to resemble real wooden flooring. Solid is the most long lasting and hardwearing wood for a home as it can be sanded down and re-varnished several times. Solid wooden floors, like hardwood, can have quite a few different finishes and textures and as well, different length and width boards.
